The only aspect where Geist Lite shows its age is the UI size. That said, Geist Lite remains an incredibly versatile drum sampling and sequencing plugin with an intuitive, performance-oriented workflow. It doesn’t support multi-channel output (only one stereo output is available), the polyphony is reduced to sixteen voices (64 in the full version), MIDI learn and host automation capabilities are limited to four slots, and the song mode is disabled. The free Geist Lite lacks some important features, though.

It features an advanced drum sequencing engine, a virtual mixer with several built-in effects, intuitive loop slicing, time-stretching, and more. The software can load third-party samples and loops in all standard formats (WAV, AIFF, REX, etc.). At its core, Geist Lite is a drum sampler plugin with loop slicing and drum sequencing capabilities.
